Refinery Operations – Motiva Resumes Production After Harvey

The Motiva refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, the largest oil refinery in the US, restarted production of its 325,000 BPD VPS-5 crude distillation unit on Monday after the floods from Hurricane Harvey receded. Motiva operators are using the AIS Universal Tag Locator (UTL) operations management solution to safely bring up the plant and manage its 603,000 BPD normal operation.
